‘Weave’ for ‘Our Spaces’ // Client : Warwickshire County Council
Brief: Design a seating area as part of the Our Spaces project intended to reinvigorate the use of public spaces in the wake of Covid-19.
Installed in Bridge St, Nuneaton, the seating design was commissioned by Warwickshire council and celebrates the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee year as well as marks the beginning of the town’s transformation.
Inspired by the town’s River Anker and ribbon weaving heritage, the geometric, loom-like design is created from slatted struts that rise and fall in correlation with the local River Anker’s route.
