‘Layers Of Movement’ // Client : Yinka Ilori // Meta Open Arts
Brief: Collaboration with Yinka Ilori to provide an interior mural for the new Meta offices, Kings Cross, London.
London based artist Yinka Ilori was commissioned to create a mural to span 9 floors of the Meta building, filling the reception and entire height of the stairwell. This commission by Meta was the largest mural globally they had ever produced and the elaborate paintwork meant having a team of 10 painters on site for 3 months to complete.
In Addition to the mural Meta commissioned an AR installation that can be seen on Yinka Ilori’s Instagram profile which allows the Artwork to be experienced from anywhere. Passers by can activate the QR codes found on Lewis Cubitt Square.
The artwork is a celebration of the old and new stories of Kings Cross, referencing the industrial past as well as the local ecosystem.
The project was completed in collaboration with Yinka Ilori and The London Mural Company.
